The Litter Tray

Feature

Shadow Mode or Automatic Mode

Ask first for holds, or automate only the actions you choose.

Shadow Mode means the built-in policy asks before it holds. Automatic Mode means a built-in category you have switched on can hold without another click. Your own text and AI rules always ask first, or only tell you. Probation holds a viewer's new video comments subject to Pause, YouTube quota and recovery checks. Removing a comment is always a separate owner action with a confirmation. Any category goes back to Shadow Mode the moment you say so.

Outcomes

What you can do with it

Ask first

In Shadow Mode, a hold the built-in policy wants must wait for your decision.

Automate narrowly

Enable only the built-in policy categories you are willing to let hold automatically.

Change your choice any time

Turn a category off or return the built-in policy to Shadow Mode whenever you choose.

The path

How it works

Watch it work. Then approve every move. Then let it run.

  1. Start with Shadow Mode

The rule shows its hold and waits. That rule does not touch YouTube without your click.

  2. Approve or reject every move

    Your decisions become the record.

  3. Consider the offer

The tray can offer Automatic for the built-in policy, category by category, after your decisions repeatedly agree with it.

  4. Enable only what you trust

Return to Shadow Mode at any time. Readiness is advice, not a hard lock.

Built by a creator, for his own channel first

I built the moderator my own channel needed.

Hey friends, I'm Mike. My channel grew to 50,000 subscribers, and the comments grew well past 50,000 with it. No one creator can read every comment at that size. I really valued the community that built up around my channel, but the volume and intensity of comments was overwhelming.

When the trolls started taking over the time I wanted to spend with the lovely community around my channel, I dusted off the toolkit and built The Litter Tray around the rules and restraint I wanted near my own audience. I want creators to be able to get set up in seconds, spend a few minutes setting the rules that matter to them, and make persistent trolls much harder to miss, so they can get back to making videos.
