Before you ask
"I don't trust AI near my audience."
Neither do we. The AI can't write, so it never speaks as you, not once and not anywhere. And it only gets the power you hand it: leave new AI rules on Approve as long as you like.
"What if it holds a comment it shouldn't?"
The owner can restore a held comment after confirming the change. Restoring publishes it again and prevents this tray from holding the same comment again. Removing a comment is a separate owner action with its own confirmation.
"Will this eat my time like everything else?"
The opposite is the point. It tells you about the few things worth a look, each linked to its comment or viewer; everything else waits in the record until you want it. If you'd rather not check at all, one email a morning says what kinds of alerts are waiting, only on days there is something.
"What happens to my data?"
Your comments live in your private archive, never sold. No AI model is trained on it. Disconnect in the app wipes the imported channel data listed there from the live tray. Backups made before a disconnect or switch are retained separately. Backup rotation does not guarantee a fixed deletion date.
Yes. Sign-up is open: create your account with Google. The product is in beta, which is a reason to be early.
Sign in with Google; that click creates your account. Connect your channel, answer a handful of questions about it, and try a practice round on your own comments. Then press Start my tray. The connect your channel walkthrough shows each step.
An account, and nothing else. Nobody else signs in as you, and nothing is posted to YouTube by signing in. Connecting a channel is a separate step.
Yes. Settings shows your own recent sign-ins and every session you have open, and one click signs them all out.
No. The AI never writes a word as you, and the tray never replies on its own. Replies stay yours alone; the tray brings you the comment, not an answer to send. Never writes as you.
Yes. Keyword rules, name patterns, viewer standing, and probation continue without AI. There is no single master switch: every AI rule has its own on and off, and with them all off the AI evaluators stay silent. The ideas digest is a separate AI job with no on or off of its own, and it quiets as detected-request data ages out. AI is optional.
No. YouTube does not give us a way to read that list. A ban you make in the tray does go to YouTube. Name patterns in the tray catch a look-alike the first time it comments. The Hidden users list in Studio is still the place you lift a YouTube ban. Name patterns and watching names after a ban.
Connecting is the start, and finishing setup is the switch: the channel is active the moment you come back from Google, the tray starts bringing your comment history in by itself, and automation switches on when you press Start my tray. Skip setup and the tray waits, not checking, until you finish it. The AI rules still ask first, and you can leave them on Approve for as long as you like; the one thing that acts without asking is the timed probation you set yourself, acting on your behalf. Connect your channel walks through it step by step.
No. One tray watches one channel. Run a second channel and it gets a tray of its own; one sign-in can hold several, and you choose which you're working in when you sign in. Each tray has its own plan.
Yes. Invite them by email from the Who can moderate page under Settings; they sign in with Google or set a password and an authenticator app. Teammates can approve or reject holds, hold a comment by hand, publish from YouTube's held queue, and change a viewer's standing. Putting a comment back on YouTube, deleting, banning, and editing rules stay with you.
Yes. Settings has a colour-vision switch that changes the tray's palette so good, warning and held stay easy to tell apart.
Only what you switch on. Every Friday, if you want it, one email with the week's numbers: how many comments arrived, how many we read and left alone, how many we held, and whether anything still waits for you. And, per person, one email a morning listing what kinds of alerts are waiting, only on days there is something. Both live under Emails and messages in Settings. Service letters, like the pause notice on a quiet free tray, come regardless, because you'd want to know.
The numbers live on the plans page. The Free Plan does not expire, and subscriber count is not an eligibility gate. It is kept by being used: free trays pause after 3 days away and are removed after 5, and one click keeps yours running. Paid plans do not pause for inactivity. Try the whole tool on Free. Free gives you every feature in smaller amounts, so you can judge it before you pay. Solo, Creator and Studio check for new comments faster (every 40, 20 or 5 minutes instead of about hourly), read more of them (1,500, 4,000 or 8,000 credits instead of 50), and lift the small-plan limits. You pay for more work and shorter waits, not a different product.
Yes to both. Cancel any time and your plan runs to the end of what you've paid for. Your first payment has a 14-day no-quibble refund: tell us within 14 days and we refund it in full. The terms say the same in more words.
That is what the tutorials are for, starting with Connect your channel, with real screenshots where we have them. The features pages, the use cases and this FAQ cover the rest, no account needed.
